    Lamptron Cable Modding Tool Kit

    Oncew in a while something comes along that makes me feel particularly enthusiastic. It isn't always some big expensive item but one

    that has been designed and manufactured with some extra thought and care. This is how I felt when the Lamptron Modding Tool Kit came

    to me. From the outset I could see it was special. The cardboard sleeve around a metal box just enticed me to open it. Inside there

    was a very securely packed kit of parts set into specially cut neoprene closed cell foam cut outs. Covering this was another layer of

    neoprene just to keep them secure.

    This is by far the best cable modding kit I have seen on the market bar none. It consists of a solid stainless steel handle with a

    threaded hole in one end to take the different component ends. You simply have to decide on which tool is required for releasing the

    pins of the particular connector that you are using and screw it into the handle. Unlike most tools for this job that are available

    these are not flimsy and poor quality that will break the first time that you apply a bit of pressure to them and I speak from

    experience!

    Now you could expect to have to pay dearly for this sort of quality and even then I would say it would be worth it but at just over

    £15 I reckon it is extremely good value. I really don't know how this could be improved upon and follows Lamptron's usual quality.
