Zalman’s latest VGA cooler is without a doubt their best yet. The VF1000 boast many features which could possibly make it the best VGA cooler ever to grace our product line.

Continuous Improvement
Compared to the VF900, the VF1000 is a massive improvement. As you can see the VF1000 looks nothing like the VF900. The surface area has been increased dramatically, which will increase the efficiency of the cooler. The VF1000 uses four heatpipes to transfer the heat from the GPU onto the fins, compared to the VF900’s two heatpipes.

The only similarity between the VF1000 and the VF900 is the fan. The dimensions of the fan are the same as is the performance. Noise levels start from just 18dBA while the fan speed starts at 1400RPM. This levels can be increased to 28dBA and 2500RPM if you require a higher performing heatsink for overclocking. But to be honest the VF1000 will cooler any graphics cards available with the fan speed on its slowest RPM and quietest setting. The supplied FANAMTE2 will aid you in quickly changing the fan speed to which RPM or noise level suits you.

Compatibility
VF1000 is compatible with virtually all VGA cards that has holes around the GPU. The known incompatible cards include all Matrox, ATI’s 9550/9600 and nVidia’s PCX 5 series, 7800GS and 6600AGP series.

To provide compatibility to nVidia’s 8800 series Zalman have released a RAM heatsink that cools the RAM, FETs and I/O chipset found on the 8800 series. The ZM-RHS88 is available separately and is designed solely for the VF1000. It is not compatible with another VGA Cooler.
