Thermalright are continuously expanding their line of High Riser coolers which boast fine, well thought out designs that focus on reducing noise whilst increasing performance. The HR-01 was the first product from the HR-series to be at the front-line in the battle with heat. But with technologies getting more advanced and CPUs getting faster and hotter, it was time to upgrade this CPU cooler: hence the HR-01 PLUS!

All of Thermalright’s High Riser series heatsinks have one feature that makes them unique, and the HR-01 PLUS is no exception. Its proprietary thru-holes increase air-to-surface contact and with a firm structure it works effortlessly when running passively. But when coupled with a 120mm fan, the result is even better! In order to handle the hottest processors, the HR-01 PLUS features six heatpipes which have more than enough capacity to cool the CPU without excessive noise.

Another great improvement for the HR-01 PLUS is the new multi-backplate. It does not matter whether your system is Intel 775, AMD AM2, or even the new AM2+, the HR-01 PLUS can be securely installed. Fan wire clips are included in every package so you can choose to go for high performance or silence. If you do choose to go fanless then please make sure the case is well ventilated.
