Within every AC Ryan SATA cable, silver meshing is wrapped round the wires to block out electro magnetic interference (EMI). This interference can seriously disrupt Serial ATA's high data transmission speeds of 150MB/s (300MB/s & 600MB/s in future). Silver meshing is NOT a standard specification requirement in SATA but AC Ryan finds it extremely important - so do not assume other cables are just as well-built as AC Ryan's !!
